Parts of Speech

Noun: Is a name of a Person, Place, Things,or Ideas.

Examples:

Courage, friendship, Hobbit, Marie, Perseus

In a Hole in the ground there live a Hobbit.

The Nouns in the sentence are: Hole, ground and Hobbit


Verbs: A verb is an action word or doing word.

Examples:

run, walk, sleep,think, is, has

Marie ran quickly

The verb in the sentence is: ran


Pronouns: A pronoun is a word that is used in place of a noun.

Examples:

He, She, It, They, We, You, I

Apple gave Him the ring.
